Santa Clarita, California
|
The Santa Clarita Valley, nestled among the Santa Susana, San Gabriel, and Sierra Pelona mountain ranges 35 miles north of Los Angeles, is comprised of eight distinct communities. The first four make up Santa Clarita proper. They are: Canyon Country, Newhall, Saugus, and Valencia. The outlying regions are: Agua Dulce, Castaic, Stevenson Ranch, and Val Verde.
Since the beginning of man's settlement here, the valley has acted as a crossroads between ocean and desert, mountains and farm land, north, south, east and west. Santa Clarita Valley, or SCV as residents refer to it, is able to maintain its rich western heritage while surging ahead in the technological age. all roads meet here giving residents the best of all worlds: a great place to work, raise children, rest, and play.
SCV residents enjoy the best of both worlds living in a quiet, safe and culturally rich area while still close enough to Los Angeles to partake in its array of activities. Though often seen as one of the many suburbs of Los angeles, SCV has its own distinct presence in the area."
